Pulled Pork

Ingredients 2 lb pork roast 1 cup of water Seasoning (the one I bought was seasoned already) Instructions Place it in the pot. Pour in the water. Set the Instant Pot to 60 minutes on high. When the timer goes off let it natural release for 15 minutes before releasing the pressure. Take the meat out. Notes My local store, Fred Meyers, had pre-seasoned 2 lb pork roasts for around 75% off.

Ribs 3-2-1 Method

Ribs 3-2-1 Method Ingredients Ribs. Rib rub (I’m lazy and use pre-made ones). Instructions Removed the membrane and used a rib rub. Place ribs in smoker at 225 degrees F for three hours. Wrap ribs tightly in foil and smoke for 2 hours. Take foil off and return to smoker bone side down for 1 hour. Apply sauce to ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking time. Notes Came out tender, but not fall off the bone.

Sauces and Seasonings: Alabama BBQ Sauce

Ingredients 2 cups of mayonnaise 1⁄2 cup of apple cider vinegar 2 tbsps lemon juice 1 1⁄2 tsps of pepper 1 tsp of salt 2 tsps of yellow mustard 1⁄2 tsp of cayenne Pepper 1⁄4 tsp of garlic powder Optional: 1⁄4 cup of horseradish Instructions Mix it all together. Notes Creates a tangy rich tasting sauce with some kick. Great with corned beef.

Sausage and Cabbage

Ingredients Head of cabbage Onion Clove of garlic (1 tsp of minced garlic) 1 or 2 packages of sausage; around 1 to 1.5 lbs of sausage. 1⁄2 cup of water Salt Pepper Instructions Turn the instant pot onto sauté with some vegetable oil. Cut up the onion, cabbage, and sausage. I normally cut the cabbage into eigths. Put the onion and sausage into the pot. Saute for a couple of minutes, just to cook and brown it.
